J. Bruce Huffman / President / CEO

J. Bruce Huffman is a 34 year veteran of business aviation, successfully developing and leading organizations’ to excellence in operational management. As the President and founder of Flight Assurance, Mr. Huffman remains the principal consultant and has developed a unique line of process templates to provide a host of solutions to the operation of any business aircraft. His past assignments have included service as the Director, Sales Demonstration Flight Operations for Bombardier Business Aircraft Division responsible for both Challenger and Learjet units, Senior Vice President, Customer Operations for Avolar where his team built the IT and operating infrastructure for a fractional aircraft start up, Senior Vice President, International for NetJets and Managing Director for the NetJets Europe Operation, and was a Flight Standards Captain for the IBM Flight Operation for nearly twenty years and has widely recognized industry expertise in aircraft acquisitions, specification, and entry into service.

Mr. Huffman retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Colonel. During a distinguished career, of both active and reserve service, Mr. Huffman held a number of command and staff positions and is a Master Army Aviator with 25 years of continuous aviation service.

Mr. Huffman holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, an active Certified Flight Instructor rating in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft, has numerous Type ratings, was formerly an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner, and has attained more than 13,000 hours of accident free flying.

He is a member of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society, the V.H.P.A., the Reserve Officers Association, the Association of the United States Army, and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Mr. Huffman received his bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle University and his MS in Instructional and Performance Technology from Boise State University. He currently resides in upstate New York with his wife and is actively involved with various aviation and veteran organizations.
